About Us



Northwest Petroleum Equipment Ltd. is a locally owned and operated, full service contracting firm, specializing in, but not limited to, the sales and service, design and manufacturing, installation and repairs of petroleum(and related) equipment. The company, headquartered in Thunder Bay Ontario, was founded in 1978. Since then we have steadily developed into a solid and dependable resource for our broad and varied customer base. Together, our staff, via their comprehensive skill set, contributes to our companies` ability to meet and exceed our customers' needs.

Our typical operating territory covers all of Northern Ontario, from the Manitoba border to Hudson Bay and continuing eastwardly, to all areas north of the Sudbury/Ottawa corridor. We have operated beyond this typical geographic area for special projects and contracts and have performed work throughout all the western provinces and territories under our status as a transport Canada registered facility, for B620 inspections and repairs.

NWPE is a TSSA licensed and approved Petroleum Contractor. We are also a Measurement Canada Registered Service Provider and an ESA licensed electrical contractor with licensed Petroleum Mechanics (PMH, PM1, PM2 and PM3). We excel in all aspects of tankage and petroleum equipment project and asset management. Our major services include; all fuel system installation and upgrades from stand alone gas bars, through highway card locks and bulk fuel storage plants to tank truck inspection, service and repairs.

At Northwest Petroleum Equipment Ltd., we provide short and long term maintenance, on our customers' assets, as well as system and equipment specialty monitoring and testing. In short we follow our customers' fuel system life cycle, from conception/design though installation/maintenance, upgrades, repairs and testing, to site operator training and concluding with equipment divestitures and site environmental remediation.

Our customer base ranges in type from major oil, forest, mining, transportaion and regional companies to governmental facilities and First Nation organizations. Our supplier network is dependable and knowledgeable and in turn they assist us in providing timely, cost effective service to our clients. Our company fleet of service trucks and a wide variety of mechanical and specialty tools and equipment, supports our ability to service myriad customer sites and needs in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
